More success for WRC in Chester

Chester’s full marathon and metric event became the latest success story for numerous runners from Warrington Running Club.

Taking place in one of the UK’s most scenic and historical cities, both race events proved to be a resounding success on a weekend when WRC celebrated its second birthday.

It was an early start for all concerned at the club with the marathon runners setting off on their challenge at 9am and the metric runners hearing the gun at 10am.

Both versions of the race proved to be a challenge for all concerned and the opportunity to run on Chester race course as well as through many parts of the city centre provided a unique twist.

By the end, there were tears of joy and some very battered and bruised bodies as personal bests were obtained and many unique individual challenges had successfully been completed.

The club’s colours were hard to miss throughout the day as Chester felt the full force of the primrose and blue army.

The event looks to have inspired many club members to achieve yet more in their running careers with Manchester Marathon 2015 looking like a sound bet for future success.
